I’m Hannah. Self confessed travel obsessed, wannabe yogi, cocktail lover, food admirer and Christmas addict. Thank you for stumbling onto my little piece of the internet.
This is where I hope to share my travels and explorations as I –detour– from what I feel was expected of me. I chose to live on the other side of the world from my home, friends and family in order to spend pretty much every cent I earn- on travel (and food, and rent – let’s be honest).
I once read that your 20’s are for being selfish and choosing your own path. The 20 Something Detour is my way of showing that even though I may not have thousands of dollars (or pounds) in the bank, having kids or settling down in a stable career (all of which people see as necessities for being successful) that what feels successful to me at this stage in my life is seeing as many countries and trying as many new experiences as I can in my life.
This blog is filled with my thoughts and opinions of places I travel to, food I eat, drinks I drink and experiences I have while living abroad.
Living in LONDON and exploring Europe and surrounds. I’d love for you to come along with me as I try to make sense of this silly world we live in while trying to see every little piece I can!
‘Your 20’s are your SELFISH years. It’s a decade to immerse yourself in every single thing possible. Be selfish with your time, and all aspects of you. Tinker with shit, travel, explore, love a lot, love a little, and never touch the ground.’ – Kyoko Escamilla
